Do I need technical knowledge?

Freehold Email is sold as a perpetual software license. A one-time purchase grants you the right to use the software indefinitely, for personal or commercial purposes. You are not purchasing a subscription. There are no recurring fees.
You may use Freehold Email to manage your own email lists, send campaigns, and operate your email marketing. You may use it for commercial purposes. Your license is non-transferable and covers a single organization or individual.
You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software. You may not use Freehold Email to send spam, unsolicited email, or email to contacts who have not given consent. You may not use the software for any illegal purpose.
You are solely responsible for complying with applicable email laws including CAN-SPAM (US), CASL (Canada), and GDPR (EU). This means: every email you send must include a physical mailing address and a working unsubscribe link; you must honor unsubscribe requests immediately; you may only email contacts who have given consent. Freehold provides the tool — you are the sender of record.
Freehold Email uses Postmark for email delivery. You must have your own Postmark account and agree to Postmark's terms of service. Freehold is not responsible for Postmark's availability, pricing changes, or decisions to terminate your Postmark account.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within 30 days of purchase, contact us at moses@freeholdtools.com for a full refund, no questions asked. Founding users (free tier) are not eligible for refunds as no payment was made.
Freehold Email is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Freehold Tools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid for the license.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the software after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

When you sign up: your name and email address. When you use the app: your contacts and subscriber lists, email templates you create, campaigns you send, and aggregate analytics (open rates, click rates, bounces). We collect this information to provide the service and improve the product.
We do not sell your data. We do not run your subscriber lists through AI models. We do not serve ads. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your subscriber list is yours.
We use Postmark to deliver your emails. When you send a campaign, your email content and recipient addresses are passed to Postmark for delivery. Postmark's privacy policy governs how they handle that data. We use Netlify to host this website. We do not use Google Analytics or any other behavioral tracking on this site.
You are the data controller for your subscriber list. Your contacts' personal information (email addresses, names) is stored in your instance of Freehold Email. We act as a data processor. We do not access your subscriber data for any purpose other than operating the service.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. California residents have additional rights under CCPA. EU residents have rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to be forgotten. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at moses@freeholdtools.com.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Upon purchase, Freehold Tools grants you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Freehold Email for personal or commercial purposes. This license does not expire. It is not tied to a subscription. There are no recurring fees associated with this license.
You may use the software to manage email lists, create templates, and send marketing campaigns for yourself or your organization. Commercial use is permitted. You may install and use the software on systems you own or control.
You may not: (a) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software or your license; (b) reverse-engineer or decompile the software; (c) use the software to provide competing services to third parties without written permission from Freehold Tools; (d) remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the software.
Freehold Tools retains all intellectual property rights in the software. This license grants you the right to use the software, not ownership of it. Your data — contacts, templates, campaigns — belongs to you entirely.
Updates released during the beta period are included. Future major version updates may be offered at a discounted upgrade price. You are never required to update to continue using your licensed version.
This license remains in effect unless terminated by breach. If you violate these terms, your license terminates immediately. Termination does not entitle you to a refund beyond our 30-day policy.
